France World Cup 2019 Girl’s Retreat

Saturday 22nd to Sunday 30th June

for players aged 8 to 17 years

 

Dear players, parents and supporters,

Welcome to the Michigan Tigers France World Cup 2019 Girl’s Retreat.  We will be working with XL Sports Tours to provide an exceptional international tour for our players and teams to one of the greatest soccer events in the World in the incredible city of Paris!  In the summer of 2019 the biggest event in Women’s Soccer will take over the country of France as the USA attempt to defend their status as the World’s best team.  This is your chance to join us and thousands of other soccer mad fans in Paris and watch at least two top class knockout games, play against local teams and sample the culture of this European destination.     

 

The purpose of this email is to give you a little further information about the proposed schedule of the tour and how you can check out even more information on XL Sports Tours. XL Sports Tours has been taking USA teams overseas since 2001 and the trips are always an enormous success.  These tours are unique, educational and with a massive emphasis on enjoyment of the entire experience rather than just soccer.  The players will be placed in a professional soccer environment, playing at least 3 games against top international competition and even training with professional academy coaches at their private facilities. 

 

During the tour we will be staying in top ranked hotels in Paris and will have the chance to take in all the sights of this wonderful city.  We will get to enjoy a professional guided tour of Paris, take a river cruise on the Seine, visit the Louvre and the famous Notre Dame Cathedral, visit the Palace and Gardens of Versailles and even take a trip up the Eifel Tower for the best view of the city.  Along with playing soccer against local teams we will have training sessions and also tour the Stade De France the National Soccer and Rugby Stadium. 

 

During our tour our group will be chaperoned by a team of XL Sports Tour staff and guides and our own luxury motor coach.  We feel this tour will provide our players, parents and coaches with a fantastic opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime soccer event. 

 

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Go to www.xlsportstours.com  then choose the “MY TOUR” tab at the top right and scroll down to Michigan Tigers France World Cup 2019 Girls Retreat.  After you click on this link you will then be prompted for a password which is mtwwc19 in lower case.  When you open the page you will find information on the tour itinerary along with other notes including payment schedule and how to make a payment, fundraising options to cover the entire cost of your tour, insurance options and even flight options. 

 

To register for the tour click on the BOOK NOW link to the left hand side of the page and follow the steps listed.  You can book your place on the trip using your credit card or by mailing in a check to:

WHAT ARE THE HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS?

Typically players will share rooms together and any accompanying members of the group will automatically be placed together (same sex only).  If you have a preferred roommate, you can specify this at registration.  If you did not do this at the point of registration, please email info@xlsportsworld.com with your request.  Most hotels in Europe do not as a rule allow more than 2 people in a room and the price of the tour is based on a per head amount so there is no discount for having more people in a room.

 

WHAT IS THE COST OF MY TOUR AND WHAT WILL IT INCLUDE?

The cost of the program will be $2,549 per person based on 50 travelers.  For a group of 40 paying travelers the cost will increase to $2,649 per person.  Please note the cost does not include your international flight but does include the following;

 

• 2 friendly matches against hand selected opposition.

• Guest sessions from top level coaches at academy facilities

• Stadium tour included of Stade De France

• All accommodation in 3-4 star city location Paris hotels.

• Tickets to 2 Womens World Cup Games subject to availability and teams based on location of tour schedule.  We have the option to add more games if required.

• Scheduled sightseeing including bus tour of Paris, tickets to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Palace of Versailles and a river cruise on the Seine!

• 2 Meals per day, breakfast and dinner.

• All training equipment provided.

• LIVE Customer service and your own Tour Coordinator in the US to handle any questions and requests

• Additional separate sightseeing trips and cultural events for parents can be included. 

• Participate in the XL Travel Fundraising program; cover the entire cost of your tour!

• All internal transportation via luxury motor coach that remains with the group at all hotel accommodation meaning no waiting for your bus to arrive!

• Group flight options through XL Sports Tours or use own air miles, we have the best access to the best prices in the business!

• Fully escorted 24 hours a day by an XL Travel Director and staff

• XL account executive to take care of planning and maintenance

 

WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES FOR PAYMENTS?

We fully expect this tour to completely fill up as we will be offering across two different age groups.  To break down the cost of the tour travelers have the opportunity to pay through installments with the following timelines:

Initial payment to secure tour place ($500): on or before November 22nd, 2018 

Second payment ($500): December 22nd, 2018

Third payment ($500): February 22nd, 2019

Current balance (includes flight base if applicable): April 22nd, 2019  

Group Flights Balance: Subject to airline contract

 

DOES XL SOCCER TOURS OFFER ANY FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS?

Yes we do.  We offer a fantastic fundraising program involving a raffle prize draw for one of our “Soccer Fanatic Weekends”. There is an additional document online with details of this program.  Once you have made your first payment simply email us at info@xlsportsworld.com to request your first book of 25 raffle tickets and we will then send them out to your home address so you can immediately start raising money for the next installment payment.  As you pay the remaining balance we will continue to send out tickets for each $500 payment as you request them.

 

WHAT ARE THE FLIGHT PROGRAM OPTIONS?:

At the time of registration you will be given two options:

 

Michigan Tigers France World Cup 2019 Girls Retreat with flight – package includes everything on the itinerary plus the group flight.  This flight will be for the first day of the tour and return on the last day of the tour.  We are not able to make changes to the contracted start & end dates for individuals so we encourage you to review the Ground Only option if you are considering extending or shortening your stay.  If you register for the Michigan Tigers France World Cup 2019 Girls Retreat with flight package you will see a fee of $1,000 added to your total invoice when you register.  This is an installment towards the flight costs.  Once we have confirmed exact pricing with the airlines we will update your final balance accordingly. 

 

Michigan Tigers France World Cup 2019 Girls Retreat no Flight – package includes everything on the itinerary without flight. This gives you the option to book your own air transportation. This is recommended if you would like to book using air miles, deviate from the group travel dates or routing, or upgrade your flight.

 

When you register we will usually still be in the process of negotiating the best flight contract for your group and the final price will be unconfirmed at that stage, so a $1,000 installment is included in the initial package price.  If you sign up for the package with the group flight you will receive the exact flight cost as soon as it is confirmed by the airline and there will then be a limited period of time for you to switch to Ground Only if preferred.   After this time we will place a deposit payment on the flights and any changes thereafter may incur a charge. 

 

If you are booking a ground package, please ensure you land before the team so that you can meet the group in their arrival terminal and join the tour from there.  If you arrive later than the team you are responsible for arranging transport to meet up with the group yourself.  Please make sure you check all flight numbers and times for your flight as airlines may change your itinerary and it is your responsibility to ensure you connect with the group at the international location.
